Description: This is a herbaceous plant about 3 feet in height. Leaves are 1-2 inches long with a toothed margin. It flowers from July to Sep. Flowers small and light purple in colour.
Chemical Compositions: The plant mainly contains menthol, neomenthol, isomenthol, Menthone, Menthyl acetate, limonene and cineol.
Properties: Peppermint oil facilitates hair growth by promoting vascularization of hair dermal papilla which contributes to early induction of anagen phase of hair growth. It has antiseptic, antidandruff and antimicrobial properties that stop hair fall and help in hair growth. It also helps in cooling the scalp. It can relieve a dry scalp and give hair a healthy shine.
