Description: This plant is an ever green herb and grows wild in many parts of Europe and India. It reaches up to the height of 4-6 feet. The plant grows wild in  India and is found in Himalayas at an altitude of 1500-4000 mtrs above sea level. It thrives well on warm sunny places especially in mountain slopes

Chemical Composition: The principal components of the cone-essential oils were α-pinene, followed by β-myrcene, sabinene, and D-limonene. 

Properties: Juniper oil has potent anti-microbial and anti-fungal activity. Antimicrobial activity of juniper is due to (-)-alpha-pinene, p-cymene and beta-pinen).
