Description: C. pluricaulis is a perennial herb and its branches are spread on the ground and can be more than 30 cm long. The flowers are blue in colour and the elliptical leaves are located at alternate positions with branches or flowers. The herb is commonly found in India, especially in the state of Bihar.

Chemical Constituents: Sankhapushpine, B- sitosterol, Kaempferol, N- hexacosanol, Hydroxy Cinnamic acid.

Properties: This plant is used as brain tonic. The whole plant is used for improving memory. It enhances learning, memory, intelligence, concentration level and the ability to recall. In traditional medicine it is used in the treatment of disorders such as hypertension, anxiety, neurosis, stress, insomnia, asthma, bronchitis, cerebral abnormalities and neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer and dementia etc. It supports digestion and boosts immune system, acts as a good tranquilizer.
