Description: This is a small plant where the leaves are unifoliate with white and unisexual flowers. The fruits  are basically berry which turns yellow. The outer cover is rough and thick and irregular in shape. Fruiting takes place throughout the year.

Chemical Composition: Citric acid, Sulphuric acid, glucose, Abscisic Acid, Abscisin II, Limonin, Limonene, Limocitrol, Rutin 

Properties: Citrus medica is one of nature’s most versatile fruits, and because of its high vitamin C content, antibacterial and astringent properties it is used in cleansing milk to remove make up and also cleanse the facial skin. It is also used in facial blemishes and also to treat acne.
