Description: This is an erect and evergreen shrub and has brown bark from outside and yellow bark from inside. Leaves are dark green from outside and light green from inside. Fruits of this herb are juicy rich in nutrients and contain plenty of sugar.
Chemical constituents: The plant contains barberine, oxyberberine, berbamine, aromoline, karachine, palmatine, oxyacanthine and taxilamine.
Properties: It is a tonic, antimicrobial, anti-pruritic, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory.
